TAPER The SatCom Electronics Antenna Tapered Chamber is the world's most cost-effective and compact antenna tapered chamber designed specifically for wireless antenna development. Funded by SatCom Electronics and Manpost developed by internationally renowned range experts from the ElectroScience Laboratory at Ohio State University, TAPER(Test Antennas using a Portable Electromagnetic Range)sets new performance and cost standards for antenna measurement.

TAPER utilize an ultra-wide-bandwidth SBH feed antenna technology and a new Chebyshew-based absorber design concept, resulting in the most compact, maximum operational efficiency and high-performance antenna chamber in the world today. Its small size significantly reduces the costs normally associated with wireless antenna testing, eliminating the need for large dedicated building space, high ceiling or large footprint pads.
The fully turnkey TAPER includes a completely shielded chamber, feed antenna, rotating support column, controller and user-friendly PC software for controlling test instruments and the performing measurements. TAPER is specifically designed to meat far field requirements with extremely low stray signals and excellent field quality and polarization performance. As a result, the chamber has a very uniform amplitude and phase in any lateral section throughout the test zone.
